I worked hard on Sunday even though I was technically fishing. Got to Grapevine by 5:45am. It was almost to dark to see my way to the bank. Didn't leave til 4:30 pm, but had a 22 in the bucket ranging from 10.5-14". Lost three big sows that came off at the top of the water and only caught four under 10. Also caught three bass and one was 18". I was mad it wasn't a crappie that big. All fish caught on red/chartruece tube jigs in very shallow water. I bet I lost 5lbs just walking the banks and wading across shallow areas. I have never worked so hard to catch fish before. lol I would like to thank those who helped me like Gamakatsu jig heads, B&M jig poles, Trilene, and of course wallyworld tube jigs. ![laugh laugh](/forums/images/graemlins/default/laugh.gif)

It's amazing how hard you have to work to get a mess of fish. I had a great weekend and am tuckered out to prove it.

ALLANGT, What areas did you fish? I am trying to get more familiar with GV and plan to fish it Wednesday evening.

Well today I managed to take 11 crappie home. Caught some undersized fish, a couple perch, a 5 lb carp, and a 2lb one eyed channel cat.
