If you are talkin Broken Bow I've never fished the lake side , but I know I've landed some real nice sized Trout in the summer (avg 14-24inch.) throughout the tailrace. Just be sure when you go to be aware of the method of fishing in each of the 3 zones. some are 'barbless hooks only'.And even flyfishing only sections. Some are limited to lure & fly, and no live bait as well.
