Whats the word anybody give it a chance? I've left it on one of my rods 2 fish some tanks but what about fishing real stuff?

Terrible abrasion resistance. It says made in Japan so I thought it might be a hidden gem made in a high end facility but it really disappointed me.

I have some H2O reels & rods and they rock but the line sucks. It's definitly worth the extra money to get you line changed

i agree with the terrible abrasion resistance....I had it on my H20 reels for about a month and after fishing 4-5 days a week we had a problem.....needless to say its gone and I will never use it again. The h20 reels however are nothing but a treasure to me cause they have performed time after time.

I had a mettle reel for about 2 months. It got to grinding and squealing and now it is the property once again of Academy. Won't try their reels anymore.
