I am heading to the coast next month and I am going to put my boat in the salt for the first time. My question is will this hurt my trolling motor. I plan on washing down my boat after every trip. Thanks for any help.

I lived down on the coast for 5 years...If it's an older trolling motor the seals behind the prop may let water into the motor itself and it will hurt it. If it's a newer one you shouldn't have any problems as long as you flush EVERYTHING out afterwards. Good Luck!!
