All I own is St. Croix baitcasters. But I dont own any brand of spinning, rod or reel. A buddy introduced me to them a few years ago and now thats all you'll find in my boat. I own mostly the Premiere series, but I do have a couple of the Avids. I also, just bought two of the new Mojo series and they have been awesome. I bought the Flipping and the Slop-n-Frog model and they have definitely been worth it. Personally, I like the Mojo's better for $20-$30 less than a Premiere, mostly because of the split grip. Theres my two cents, hopefully it helps.

I love mine I have an Avid, A Legend Elite and 2 of the new Legend extremes. I plan on slowly replaceing my other rods until I have all St Croix as I can afford to. My advice would be to buy at least the Avid series to get the lifetime warranty and never have to worry about them again. They are great rods!

I have some tourney legends and a Mojo spinnerbait rod. I really enjoy both models. Dont forget to send in your warranty paperwork when you purchase.

My fishing partner has broken two premiers in the last year. One on hookset and one on lifting a fish into the boat.

I had been fishing All Star rods for years but I'm switching over to St Croix. I have been pleased so far. I've not gone with the high-end stuff. I'm hard on rods and prefer to put my money into reels.

had one break not too long ago, real great warranty, for 50 bucks I got a brand new $200 rod on a 1-1/2 old premier, esp. since when it broke it was definitely my buddy's fault. if your sure it is the rod at fault then they will replace it for 30.

FWIW.

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool St.Croix guy.

I own some other brands of rods, one G Loomis, a couple of Falcons, as well as some Custom Angle rods. Still, I own over 20 Avids (not counting my three Avid flyrods), 4 of the older green Legend Elites, and 5 Legend Tournament Bass rods.

I'm of the opinion that St.Croix has the most technologically advanced rod blanks on the market, esp. the 3 Legend Series of rods with IPC, and ART.

If I were to get a custom rod/s built, and hang the expense, it/they would have a St.Croix SCVI blank/s in it/them.

Avids are in my not so humble opinion the best value in fishing rods out there. (Knock on wood) I've never had one break other than one that got broke in a traffic accident where a (heavy) tackle box took it out during the collision.

Mack Prather, owner of Mack's Discount Tackle in Lindale, has been handling Avids for several years. He has only VERY rarely gotten an Avid owner who broke a rod on hook-set etc.. The one glaring exception is a fellow who is very well known in the Lindale area for distroying rods on hook-sets.

St.Croix makes one sweet, SOLID rod.

Again FWIW, I give St. Croix Avid, and Legend series rods my highest recomendation.

You can't go wrong with St. Croix rods. I personally like Falcon rods a little better, but I've had good experience with St. Croix rods. I judge rods by not only how light they are and how well they casts, but by how they hold up over the long run.
