3" Gulp Shrimp in New Penny for backwater and 4" for deeper and open water like the surf.
Rig 'em with a light jig head (1/16 to 1/8 oz) or you can rig 'em under a popping cork instead of live shrimp. Or you can carolina rig 'em or you can rig 'em with no weight. The possibilities are endless.
Yes, they work for trout and reds.

I hear the Nuclear Chicken is a good color choice also.

I have used the 3" gulp shrimp for trout off of our fishing cabin in the LLM and had great results! I'm sold on the gulp shrimp.
I may not always be right but I'm never wrong.

with the shrimp do you have to work it or can you let in sit on the bottom? how about under a popping cork?

Under the lights I had the shrimp on a 1/4oz jig head and that worked awesome. I also tried it under a popping cork with great results as well.
I may not always be right but I'm never wrong.

Let it sit, work it fast or slow - gulp works, and it will last longer than live bait. You will still catch hardheads though. Ah well, can't be perfect.
