80 cents a bale is the going rate these days,to the barn,that field was 400+ bales,all were sold in the field,or hauled to customers,Glad that is over with,look foward to fishing next week.

Wow, 80 cents a bale. I would have been happy with a nickel the others got. My dad always told me he paid me at the dinner table.

ahh, the days when I thought, I would actually die in the middle of a pasture...
It was hot,nasty,hot,bugs,hot,snakes,hot...
I wouldnt trade it for the world, those pastures is where a lot of us learned WORK ETHIC..

nickle a bail for me in Indiana and we got lunch - McDonalds cheesburger and fries - one barn we put it in was 2 story - that was fun when you got down to the bottom - believe it helped me out on the football fiel though

OK, nobody has said it, but how many of you did this without wearing a mask?  If you didn't wear a mask, you know what I'm talking about. I think I got 5 bucks a day to bail hay waaaaaaaaaay back when!

I didnt mind loading, but I hated stacking.
I drive by those fields in the pics almost everyday.
