I caught some on the morning of the 5th , Jiggin' spoon in 15 - 17 ft, caught almost as many drum as sandies, I was the GasperGoo Kid. I have seen almost zero topwater action. the few times I've seen'em , they were very small fish chasing very small bait and were down within a couple of minutes. Come on October. MO MO

Top water at sunset from the old dock to Eagles Bluff. Again, kinda small.

What area of the lake will you be?
I've found them in 5-18ft. But for this lake its gotten into a pattern of, you'd better know several places to check, carry lots of beverages, and have a full tank of gas. There is some schooling right at dark 30 around mid lake and where Trump 903 said, you have a decent chance of seeing that. I haven't been at daylight.
