I got $.25(cents) a bale loaded out of the field and stacked in a barn one summer. I made more money that summer than a lot of my friends parents!

$.02 per bale back in the early 1960's, too. Put up 2,200 bales in one day one time - $44/day was a lot of money to a kid back then.

My hands started blistering again looking at those pics. Gives you a hell of a work ethic though. After doing that,no job was hard to me.
