I came within about 5 feet of a stump today. I don't have a gps on board so here goes my best description of where it is. It is on a line between the west end of the east bridge and the point with houses on it north of Chandler's. It is about a third of the way out from the bridge. It has to be about even with the surface when there is no wind. With the wave action I could see it, but not until I was right on it. I did not have anything on board to mark it or I would have. I swung aroung to see if it was floating. I couldn't move it at all. It is sitting in 26 feet of water. Be careful. This thing is about the diameter of a telephone pole.

Actually there is at least one (that I've found) maybe two telephone poles attached to the bottom in that location, if we are talking about the same poles. They have claimed, I'm afraid, probably countless outdrives over the years. About 10 years back some of us from RH tried to get the city of Dallas to do something about them but to no avail. They are not floaters and will not move if you push on them. If someone has GPS coordinates that could be posted, that would be very helpful.
It goes without saying but bears repeating: BE CAREFUL! Thanks, birdeye, for the timely reminder.

WoW. Glad you didn't hit it. I am surprised the state hasn't marked them.

Thanks guys. Luv to fish it would be great if you could mark it. This thing is in position to not just take out a lower unit. It will rip a huge hole in your hull if you hit it.

I saw one in that same general area last year when the lake was down just a little and marked it on the gps. I'll try to take a look for it tomorrow and bring a jug or something to tie on it if I can see it. Try to post the gps coords if it I do find it.
It sounds like the description or the one I saw last year. I cound wiggle it, but it was stuck to the bottom for sure!
