Anybody got any advice for Lake Leon catfish? I went two weeks ago and it was a very hot learning experience. My dad has a place just up river from 2214 so we focused on that part of the lake. For this kind of heat, we learned to fish from sunrise until noon using fresh shad along the stump lined channel. We were able to find 6 - 8 ft deep water in that part of the channel but it's probably down almost a foot since then. The shad seemed to be in the channel as well. Next time we'll put in 10 - 12 jugs in the channel and drop some punch bait in from R&R as well.
