I'm truly sorry for your loss. May God carry your loved one, along with his family and friends, in this dark time of sorrow.

I've got 2 brothers (1 in Iraq and 1 just home from Afganistan), a sister, and a a bro-in-law in the Army and I still can't begin to imagine the heartache you and your family must feel.

As I reflect on this tragedy, all I can think is that your nephew is a hero and that I'm thankful - no, I'm blessed that we have heroes like Josh Farris that make the ultimate sacrifice for this great Nation!

Good Bless Josh Farris and his Family and Friends,

-Alton

I have a kid over there.....I hope I never get that call.
I never was big on prayer but since we found out he was going last year, things changed. You and your family will be included tonight..

Franklin Pillsbury....yes, of course....told him once he was my hero..kind of a twist that a senior citizen tells a kid that the kid is his hero...but, for both of us and all who believe, Jesus is the real hero.

In your time of loss I grieve for your family.
There is no greater honor than what your nephew's son has given.
It's not much but I'm am very proud of him and his willingness to serve.
Every time I hear story's like this I wish I could put my 52 yr old body over there so some young person could be at home with thier family.

GOD BLESS HIM!
GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY!

Darell, once again, prayers for your family.

I thought you'd like to know that the local news here in Houston ran a story on Josh last Friday evening. It wasn't long but a fitting tribute, nonetheless.

This brave soldier gave all, doing what he loved and for that we honor him. I retired out of the 10th Mtn. Div. at Fort Drum, NY where SPC. Farris was assigned - Hooah, Climb To Glory (Division Moto) - Great bunch of guys! We appreciate our warriors because we understand that Freedom isn't Free! Our brave men and women are taking the fight to the enemy so that we can rest safely at night - Lest We Forget!

I have the honor of participating in this weekend's Tournament of Heros Bass Tournament to pay tribute to our Wounded Warriors - He will be remembered well.
