i disagree when the pond is wide open, not on anyones house property or anything.just an amazing pond smack dab in the middle ofa city and idiot neighbors dont want people around.i can understand if they are dumping but all im doin is catchin a few bass, lettin em go and goin about my business.

Doesn't matter. It isn't yours and it is posted.
And I think it is pretty stupid to post on a public forum that you are blatantly disregarding no trespassing signs and fishing anyways....especially when your SN is your actual name. Not smart.

I miss the good old days of fishing where ever you felt like too and it's sad that we do not have many places to fish from the bank these days but I do respect the signs. If a pond is marked as residents only or no trespassing etc, etc, I won't fish it because then I'd have to explain to my son why I got fined/jailed for fishing on private property and what kind of lesson would he learn from that?
If dad can disregard the law then so can I?
Yeah, I think I'll pass on this one.

it was posted a maximum of a week ago and i have spoken to the police once before and was told that it was not an enforacble sign because it was posted by a resident of the neigborhood right next to the pond and not by the city or owner.whoever posted it according to the police is just pissed off because he dosent want others catching the fish in there.if the police say its okay then im gonna fish it,end of story.

Up at our lease we we call those types "prisoners'. farmer

Actually it isn't just whether its a fisherman or hunter, I and I'm sure most of us here do both as a lifestyle...I love bowhunting etc... But there are alot of other outdoor enthusiast that tread harder than maybe they should upon certain lands.Id say it has something to do with individual character and /or lack of it and not sub-cultures/groups(hunters,fisherman,bicylest,rock climbers..), as awhole. noidea
