I have been down here working since hurricane Ike and yesterday drove over the San Bernard River and it looked like a great river. My question is how is the fishing and are there boat ramps? Any info would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance for all your help.

i lived on that river for 7 years and in that area for 30 years . been back to central texas since 2004 but still remember the fishing , its great in winter, the colder the better as long as you have clear water, fish the east shoreline
from church hill bridge down to the intracoastal canal, watch out for oyster reefs their pretty shallow, but hold fish well ,the windmill area is very productive in winter, in spring or summer try the cow trap area it holds more fish then, than the river. remember if it's cold & clear fish the river, if it dirty's up go somewhere else. good luck & good fishing!
