I have a personal interest in what store you were at. Was it a "CHAIN STORE" or was it a local, independent store? PM if you want to pursue....and I will explain why!!!

I have heard some good liquor store stories. You just added one to my growing list.
Cut it all down.

U should drill holes or U will B using alot of extra weight. with all that air trapped in boo IT WILL drift away with a heavy wind. I have been sinking it for years the last thing U want is to drive up after a storm and not find it or it slid down hill out of position. Just experienced advice, do what U think will work I have already found out the hard way.

The local hillbillies here in Coleman County call this stuff Georgia Cane. I've been told by folks that know alot more than me that it's one of the best things to sucker the crappie into gathering up, but I've never tried it. I guess I need to, especially since I probably won't be in danger of having to fight for it or going to jail for gathering it. I do know that it will leave a welp about 3" tall when you're whipped with it.

grandma said "go get me a switch to whoop you with"... I quickly learned the bigger it was, the less it hurt. Cane was the worst! Grandma could swing it a LOT faster!

Dropped three piles last night all in one spot tied together with wire. It was a chore to get them out there with 140lbs of concrete and 12' stalks and a 6' diameter canopy. Even though I used bungees to wrap the brush together for transport there was literally no place to sit in my 14' boat. Looked like I was driving a tree with a motor mounted on it.
They sank like a parachute with concrete side down and landed standing up, verified by sonar. Sitting in 20' (probably more like 22' taking into account the offset of my tansducer) on the south side. Putting 3 more out on Sunday night if the weather cooperates.

I am not a professional or an expert in this line, but know many who are. Please don't put these in our waterways or lakes (the giant reed), as it is a VERY INVASIVE species that is taking over the banks of the rio grande and other rivers (no jokes on the rio, please). It will consume much water and infiltrate the channels, coves, and shallow areas, EVEN if you put it in the concrete, since it will likely have seeds in it.
If you Google Giant Reed, you'll find many articles that substantiate this claim as being very invasive, and with only a few seeds can overtake an area quickly!
