Where is the best place in the area to get jig making supplies such as chenelle and lead head paint?? I use to order stuff from BassPro and also some from Barlows, but that was along time ago. I need to make some jigs for my friend in Florida. He said they killed the "specks" (crappie) this weekend on some jigs I gave them last time we went fishing. Seems like no one in TPA uses feather jigs. Thanks

If you go mail order try Jann's Netcraft. I think their feathers and chenille are very vibrant (color wise) and the feathers are ot too large. I think you'll like them and their service. Log on to their website and check them out.

Barlows is still a good place and so is Bass Pro and Cabela's. I even go to a place called Backwoods here in Ft Worth for some of the supplies. www.Barlowstackle.com I would start there

WRJ, keep in mind that if you buy on line from Barlows, you will pay shipping plus sales tax.
If you buy on line at Janns, you only will pay the shipping. No sales tax for out of state sales.
If I can't find the time to drive over to Barlow's and pick it up, then I order on line from Janns.
Other than that, the costs are too close to call.
