Fished the Stowaway Sunday tournament. It was tougher today than I expected. I needed the sun to shine to burn the fish on to the deeper structure that we have been catching them off the last couple of weeks. That did not happen. I managed to scrape up a 5 fish limit that went 16.60#. Lake traffic was a non factor until about 11 then they started to come out. The traffic also puts the fish on the deeper structure. I just wish they would watch what they are doing and pass at least 75ft away. That's not likely to happen.

Two weeks ago on a Sunday evening I had a guy circle a wake boarder by me twice. On the second pass the boarder came close enough to the boat for his spray to land just shy of me. I raised my hands in the air in exasperation and the boat driver started yelling at me that I was in his way. A quick call to the Game Warden, and I must commend them for the response: they came by and let me point the boat out and then backed off and waited for nearly 30 minutes for the guy to do it again. Unfortunately, he couldn't get his wake boarder to stay up very long, every time he got him up and headed towards me the guy bit it. Wardens went over there and told him to find new water and he left.

Hey you did the right thing, but I guess i am from the old school. You put a big weight on cast it at him, hoping you hit him.It wouldn't be the first time a boat crowds you and gets a line in their boat.Yes you have to be able to back it up.

Speedracer,
I thought for a second about zinging a rattle trap towards the wakeboarder, but I had my 8 year old son with me and figured I better do the right thing.

Almost every time I go out, or fish from the bank, there is some type of encounter like what you describe. I am getting more and more impatient with this this type of behaviour. I am getting to the point where I'm going to lose my temper. Best case scenario, I end up in jail, and the other guy goes to the hospital. Legal ramifications are almost endless. So what do you do?

Road Rage/Boat Rage and a zillion other kinds of rage--they are all the same. You can't control all of the idiots and clueless people in the world. The only one you can control is -- you. If you tend to lose it when someone takes too long loading at the ramp, or comes too close to you when you are on your favorite spot, take a deep breath ---- and then whack em with a one ounce sinker!
