A few weeks ago, a few of us were standing around after a tourney, talking how there was no morning bite. Not a top water or even spinner bait fish early. The fish didnt start turning on until around 11:30am.In the heat, around 98 degrees.I told them my thoughts was the fish fed up on the full moon before we arrived at the lake.
Whats yalls take on fishing the day after a full moon?

I seem to always struggle around full moon time. I fished yesterday (Monday) morning starting at first light and caught 1 small bass in the first 2 hours on a finese jig. Over the next 3 hours I caught a few more very more small ones on a finese worm. Full moon, north wind - at least that's what I blamed it on!
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

This time of year I try to avoid fishing around the full moon...unless its at night...they will feed sometime during the next day but it may only be for a short time...

I fished from 6:00 to 9:00 this evening and confirmed there was no bite.
And I know who "Jeff" is.

Whats yalls take on fishing the day after a full moon? This is common feeding time during the day with a full moon. The hotter the better!!

I have to agree with everyone who posted the bite is slow during the full moon pattern!!! The fish feed all night a d the bite usually doesnt turn on till 11 or 12 in the after noon. They say the best time to fish is the start of a new moon so yoh get them better morning Bites!!!!

I agree the morning bite is slow after a full moon. If they aren't actively feeding in the morning, switch to patterns that will elicite reaction strikes rather than a feeding response. I will start early with a square bill crankbait and wreck it into every likely piece of cover I can. If thats not working, I'll go strait to my flipping stick and drop a tasty morsil on their heads. You would be hard pressed to find real fast action but you should be able to boat a few fish.
Some folks say that fishin on a Sunday is a sin, but if a fish bites my line, you know I'm gonna reel him on in!
