when you get one of these, like the troll-eze, does the "drain hose" just a few foot long or does it go all the way back to the back of the boat like by the plug?

thanks

It should just drain into the hull it's probably like two feet long. All your other drains like ice chest and compartments all to there.

ok. also, is the hull just plain fiberglass? like what does the water do to the hull, does it just dry up?

I didn't want the water to go into the stryofoam on my Ranger so I ran a 1\2 piece of pvc through the live well or storage compartment and and then up to the top of the compartment and out to the hose. It turns out clean and out of sight. I sealed around the entrances for the pvc so my compartment is water tight. Love the recessed pedal and no longer have to stand all day like a heron.

Skeeter (and most boats) have a bow drain tube, usually 1 1/2 pvc pipe molded in the bottom of the bow that takes water to the bilge area. When you cut the floor for the recess tray you will see it, just run your drain hose to the mouth of the pipe and it will drain to the back of the boat.
