As a general rule, and assuming the crappie move in -- any thoughts on about how long it takes for crappie to start inhabiting the condo? On a similar note: What about Christmas trees?

From my understanding if they are in the area they will be there with in a day or 2. They should be there within a couple of weeks.

I am no expert but I would think during the cold spells when crappie are not moving that much it will take longer. When they are more active it will hold crappie sooner. It took my condos 2 weeks and it was in the middle of a cold spell. Since then I have not been able to get out there and check my condos. .

We put one down in Lewisville last September and came back two hours later and caught 18 real good crappie off it, but the water was in the 80's. Fish movement, or lack thereof, plays an important part.
