I was fishing at Town Lake in McKinney yesterday and this Nutria and her babies were swimming in front of me. They were just swimming around and the babies were playing on the bank. I had to look them up online because I didn't know if they were a nutria or muskrat. Definitely a nutria.

No reason to kill them. They will take out trees and fast though, but oh well. Cute little dudes...

Interesting...I can assure you there is no shortages of them. LOP is plum full of them! 10 to a stump!

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

they will destroy vegetation pretty quickly. in Louisiana they were everywhere. they don't bother you, but will mess up aquatic areas pretty good.

BANG-BANG-BANG, if that is not possible what are the Texas laws on trapping fur bearers.
It's more than the catfish would do.

Illegal to hunt or shoot any species on our public waters except for migratory waterfowl. They can be trapped year-round with a valid trapper's license if you have landowner permission.
They do BBQ very well and they're 100% vegetarian, so no need to worry about them eating roadkill, decaying fish, etc. BBQ quite a few for a high school graduation party along with several armadillos and everyone ate it up...no meat left for the next day!

So say the water was on a city lake you would need the citys permission to dothe trapping?
It's more than the catfish would do.
