+1 for Jigg-n-Pigg except I know of 4 places. Whoever would do this has to have prequalified as a "king jackpotter" as well. As for putting fish in a small body of water that is cut off from the rest of the lake,i dont care if you can cast to it off the front of your boat, thats cheating in my book. But some people will push rules to the limit, the common sense just goes out the door.Thats why if your a T.D you cant leave no stone unturned when typing up a set of rules.I to know of at least three places this could be done on EM.

totally unethical, and flat out wrong. i think it took awhile, but it's becoming clear what these guys were saying. yeah there are spots on eml that it would be easy to drop some fish in that they couldnt get out of but, that you could reach with a cast from your 21' sketter, not a bassbuster. as i am sure there are holes on worth, the vine, loserville, and proablly all lakes if you look for them. i am glad to see the tds putting these rules into affect. i doubt it will stop anyone from doing it, if you are sorry enough to cheat, then it dosent matter what the rules state, your gonna cheat.

21' sketter ??? bassbuster ??? that narrows it down a bit, and the plot thickens.
If the boat does'nt fit you must aqquit ~!!!!

I would consider that to be an "unfair" advantage and cheating!

I was away from the CPU after the post and was not able to respond. This was a topic in the office and was wondering what our fellow TFFers opinions were and yes Inspector (Mark Perry) Gadget they were from the same IP address. Thanks for clearing that up. This topic went from migrating bass on the discovery channel to Inspector Gadget. I should have spent a little more time with the post, MY BAD. I think for the most part we agree that this would be unsportsmanlike. Catch all the fish you can the weeks leading up to a tournament, dump in a hole they can not get out of, (Off the main body of water)(Dredged out hole) and catch the captured fish the day of tournament. With the water levels as they are I sure most lake in Texas have holes like this. Sorry for the confusion!

There's no question about it catching stocked fish out of a hole off the main lake that is not connected by water is cheating. If that's what's happening they might as well put em on a stringer and tie em up at the marina or on somebodys dock. It's like catching fish out of a barrel.....

Neither illegal or unethical if not written in the law or tournament rules. Illegal and Unethical are different John I agree not illegal if not written in BUT Your ethics should not be determined by whether or not it's written in. Your ethics are your personal set of values. Changing your ethics to suit the situation (i.e. is it in the rules) is called SITUATIONAL ETHICS and is just wrong.

If the you are releasing the fish in an area that the fish can not leave then in my oppinion it would be wrong. If you catch fish in one area of the lake then release them in another area of the lake that they can leave freely then I do not see anything wrong moraly or legaly. That is not cheating or illegal.

I thought ALL tournement fishermen were as honest as the day is long.........if people cheat why have tournements? I enjoy the old saying... "The only fisherman I trust is me and you and I'm not sure about you!" Such a great statement.

I'm certainly not going to judge any tournament angler who fishses within the rules. However, if I did fish tournaments, I may disadvantage myself by not taking full advantage of a loophole in the rules because I consider whatever that action may be to be unsportsmanlike. I know, that sounds defeatist, but that's just how I am. Good thing I don't fish tournaments, huh?
Here's a different example I provided another TFF'er. Several years ago in an FLW event, David Dudley got a late boat draw for the first day of competition. So, on the last day of practice, Dudley went out and swung on every sight fish he could find. He did this to hopefully prevent the other competitors in earlier flights from catching those fish and having an advantage over him the next day. Now there was nothing in the rules to prevent Dudley's actions.
Would you have done it?
Yes i would actually. This gives you a competitive advantage with out cheating. If i find a spot when im pre fishing that i know i wont be able to fish during the tournmnet because someone will get there before me..... ill go out the day before the tournment (if off limits rules allow) and wack every fish off that spot. Mabe even take a few home and have them for dinner. Why not? Here is another scinario very similar. If your pre fishing and you see a bunch of 3 to 6 pounders breaking the surface schooling.... your gonna catch some of those fish cause its fun and fishing is supposed to be fun right??? But from your perspective that could be putting someone at a competitive dis advantage for sore mouthing the schooling fish that they have figured out and wanted to exploit in the tournament. Just like sticking a bunch of bed fish before a tournament. When you go fishing your supposed to try to catch fish. Its not like the lake is off limits to every single fisherman the day before a tournament. People who are fun fishing have just as good of a chance of sore mouthing all your fish as other competitors do.
