Thanks txwhitetail. I will bet most of us will find this very informative. I would be very interested in seeing how many on here can do this that fish here in the summer other than LRAT.

Where do you get the needle? If you do any fishing at all in the summer or really year round in any depth of water you should know how to do this. Any feed store carries the needle...Usually about .20 cents each. I just bought 5 more today (because I am usually giving mine away to folks that dont have one to use) and they were a little over a $1 so really cheap. Any local feed store or tractor supply, etc.
