Anyone have any experience with CJ Bass custom spinnerbaits. Our club has fished 6 tournaments and 3 of them have had largest bass caught on cj double colorado blade spinner baits. Hear they are hard to beat in stained or muddy water.

Not familiar with that particular Brand, but I do like throwing double colorado blade spinner baits in stained water. I think there's something to it.

Looking at them, it appears that they have a crane swivel. Crane swivels are the cheapest you can use and will break....just a matter of time. I'd look elsewhere if I was you.

Eric, A little info on my baits. I do not use crane swivels on my spinnerbaits. The swivels are roller swivels and in many cases work better than ball bearing swivels. What most guys look for in a spinnerbait is vibration. Vibration attracts fish, that is a known fact. The reason I use .032 and .030 s.s. wire on my baits is that it produces more vibration than heavier wires. That said, If vibration is what you are looking for, why use a ball bearing swivel that is so smoothe that you loose the very element you were looking for. Price has nothing to do with chosing a swivel for my baits,I could purchase cheap ball bearing swivels for less than I pay for roller swivels, it's all about what gives the bait the best action and best vibration to attract fish. My spinnerbaits will break in time. Lighter wire and more vibration is the trade off that is expected when using a light wire spinnerbait. When one or two fish make a difference in a pay day or no pay day, most of the guys I deal with are more than happy to sometimes get only one or two fish on a spinnerbait before it breaks, especially if it was a fish they feel would not have been caught on any other spinnerbait. Just my two cents. Thanks, Joe

I definately do not have any affiliation with CJ Baits and only heard of them, within the last month, from the club member that has caught the largest bass in 3 of our tournaments on them. Two in South LA stained water and one at Lake Fork in slightly stained water. The baits obviously have the capability of catching the fish so I ordered a few of them before I even posted seeking opinions. I have historically used Terminator and recently purchased the Lucky Craft Redemption and giving them a try. Spinner baits are not really my confidence bait so I was simply seeking input as I need all the help I can get.

Bazzmania - Definately not SPAM. Just seeking input as this forum has provided me a wealth of information in the past 2 years that I have been Bass fishing.

Eric - Thank you for your opinion. I was definately soliciting opinions and that is what you provided and for that I thank you as I do all opinions provided by the TFF members.

Joe - Thank you for your explaination and for promptly shipping the 8 various baits I ordered. I look forward to testing them especially in stained water we have here in South Louisiana.
