That snake might be non-venomous but the bacteria and pathogens present in their mouths can be transfered very quickly to the bloodstream in the event of a bare-skin bite and have been known to lead to amputations of fingers and even whole limbs.

Very dangerous snake not to be played with. Same with diamond backed water snakes.

Some say they their bite can be even more dangerous than a cottonmouth or copperhead.

I am guessing the only people that say this are the ones who have never been bitten by a copperhead or a cottonmouth....just my opinion

Arlington has a lot of snakes. I was out there last week and saw five in the first 15 minutes fishing.
