I'll bet after this weekend there will be a lot of "tying material" left around our public lakes. That looks like a good way to put someone's discarded Wally World footgear to good use.

VIP poppers is what we call those in the salt. It's a awesome flats fly... never tried it weedless.

Hahaha... he should just go to his friendly local hobby store and pick a pair up for like $1 or whatever the after-4th-of-july sale prices are. Scout, VIPs with guards on them dont actually do anything besides look pretty, which is why I don't tie them with the guards. Darn effective little beasties though on them tailing reds.
