Get you a jet boat and take them through a stump field, just kidding, someone could get hurt. doesnt have to be a jet! I spend nearly all my time on the water in areas no one wants to go. And honestly if some potlicker followed me and got hurt or damaged his stuff in skinny water or stumps......I would still sleep just fine. Also the "no one owns it" or "That assault" points are valid but like that arsekicking jetskier or Mark P's little crippled buddy in the Ranger people that do that are straight running SOB's and we all know that there is such a thing as crossing the line. Any one can fish where I do just don't whine if I move a brush pile or saw down a tree to make things less easy to get into if you want to fish where I do be ready to work for it. This is the attitude I'm talking about. Those spots aren't your personal fishery. You have no right to ask people not to fish there and certainly have no right to destroy the habitat because you want to throw a tantrum like a 3 year old. I never said I would throw a tantrum, and I dont ask anyone not to fish anywhere but if I have cut or dig my way into something someone else can too. And there is no reason I cant pick up a brush pile and move it especially I put there so you, your moral compass and the potlicker/followers that you are standing up for can put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I don't even know what a potlicker is and I've already said I wouldn't follow someone or fish really close to them. I'm not defending anything except EVERYONE's right to fish ANYWHERE they please on public waters. You don't own the water or anything in it.

He was an old man with suspenders, Wrangler jeans with a plumbers crack, an old fishin vest, old fishing hat, and a black pipe....and TFF sticker on the back of a old Skeeter.
Anyone know him? LOL! He was a charactor! I'm still laughing about it! I'm sure someone knows him.....but what is that going to do?
DayyyyyYummmmmmm! I gotta get them Levis hitched up a notch or two! (I don't wear them fanciful Wrangler things!)
Did the crack show just when I bent over my chum bucket....or was it like.....alluh time?
DayyyyyyyyyyYummmmmmmmm!!

i always watch to see what other people are doing from a distance. perhaps just to maybe pick up on another pattern i wasnt aware of. i never ever pull right up next to someone and fish that spot. on the other hand, i have been out with buddies where we were well within casting distance of each other. we litterally casted right next to each others boat and wore them out. i have never nor will never follow anyone for the sole purpose of gathering coordinants. NOW, for all you babies that like to act like poo poo heads and threaten people from behind your computers, you assault someone and you go to jail. if you want a fight that bad go to bar or something.

just for the record, i know a couple of guides who no longer work on lake fork. i heard from them and a few others that alot of the guides today got their start from following the old ones around. now, you can say its carp, but you know there was some of that going on about it. also, some of the guides i have seen on fork came blowing by not giving a [censored] about how it was going to affect our lives or fishing. they are just plain rude and can kiss it. except for a couple of guys that we ran into early this spring. they borrowed a socket to replace a trolling motor prop. we even offered to give them a new prop as we had several. (wrong brand). i am just sick and tired of people thinking they own any portion of the water. im sorry to have vented and i am done. i just think some of you still have some growing up to do.

I understand going up next to someone and pressing the way point button is not cool just as much as someone coming up next to you and fish the same hole one is on. I dont think trailing a guide to learn where they are fishing is cool either. That is just common angler courtesy. My issue is for those that like to call them "your spots" or feel that someone took a spot from you after watching from a distance...get real. Sometimes, I am just waiting for people to come off a hole and not because I took it from them.
Guys like KVD and Skeet can locate their own fish, day in and day out, in community lakes, with a trail of boats all around them ALL DAY....plus the spots are televised. I bet those spots are hammered soon after the Pro gets off.
For the people that whine about people taking "your spots or holes" maybe you need to improve on locating new fish just like anglers that are able to bring in good sacks to the weigh in consistently.

friend of mine that won many tournaments around here had folks follow him regularly. druing a tournament he was fishing several boats began to follow...knew where a dam was and ran across it in just the right spot...waited a minute and a lower unit was damaged by one of the guys that followed him over it. instant justice on the water.

I am trying to learn lake fork but I have never pulled up on a person fishing I have looked over to see someone fishing a area only cause I knew nothing about lake fork. I have since got a couple of guides just to learn the lake and a couple spots and what to look for. I hated going there and never catching anything. Then again I am not just learning fork I am learning the whole experience of bass fishing. I just want to only fish lake fork. I am now updating boat and graphs just to learn. I had to start somewhere. What are the community holes everyone talks about. seem like you can share those, as apparently everyone knows about them but me..... happy 4th to all..

I had to start somewhere. What are the community holes everyone talks about. seem like you can share those, as apparently everyone knows about them but me..... happy 4th to all.. I felt the same way as that lake kicked my butt most times. Last year I just became determined to learn it better. I simply put the boat in and choose an area and learn it. Lots of hours on the water and lots of gas money but well worth it. A lot of times I come up empty but there are days that are like magic. I am just trying to pay my dues and put in my time. The journey is a fun one no matter what I catch. not many places I'd rather be than Fork. Like I told Chad the other evening when I caught that toad out there, it just feels good to put in my time and get on a good school, lock down a pattern and have success. I also have fished with some friends that happen to be guides more than once just fun fishing out there and i would never dream of going back to that water unless it was something I had prior knowledge of and had fished or unless they told me up front it was a community. I just enjoy putting the puzzle together on my own. Everyone is different I guess but there is no need to crowd anyone on any lake.

I am not going to crowd anyone. The whole lake looks like you can just pull up anywhere and catch fish. lol I am just going to learn I am thinking about going to the bassmaster university to try and put looking at a map and figuring out how to find it on the lake. Anyone ever go to the university and is it worth the money. thanks again

It is Lake Fork thats what you get. Guides might want to try not plastering logos all over their trucks and wrapping their boats if it bothers them that much. Some guides are a little whinny anyway. Listened to one whin about boats following him around and move in on him. Fishing GLADE DURING SPAWN. Who would ever guess that there would be a bunch of people in there. We slid in plenty close to a bunch of people. Who was moving in on who? And anyone who says they have never seen a guy pulling a bunch of fish off a spot and has not checked in out later on needs to take a truth pill. Pulling up and pushing GPS or following you around or moving in is wrong but if your saying you fish with blinders on I don't buy it. Now some guides do respect each others spots but doesn't seem like they extend the same room to weekenders.

I read on here all the time about people recommending hiring a guide the first time they go to Fork. Well, what do you think those guys do the next couple of days? They fish the same holes with the same baits. I think this is how community holes happen.
