Went fishing at Choke on Tuesday evening and fished near the swimming area with a basic buzzbait. I had maybe 15 casts in and had a huge hit and it missed the bait. Through it in a same general area and caught a 14" fish. Then not even 10 casts later the water boiled and fight on. This was a big fish in maybe knee deep water. The fight lasted maybe 1-2 minutes because it was so close but brought her in. I would estimate 23" long and 4 1/2-5lbs. My previous best was 4.37 at sam rayburn during the big bass splash. No pics because the wife left the good camera at home and it turned out I had one in my tackle box but in the excitement forgot to look. Needless to say she is back in the water alive and well.

Sweet catch on the buzzbait!

I was fishing at Castle Hills this weekend and my worms and grubs were not getting hit (as they normally do) so I pulled out my black mini buzzbait and I was smokin' em! They were attacking at the top and after awhile it died down after I caught about 6. Then I started to burn it below the surface and it was back on...caught another 8 with the biggest at around 3lbs.

Gotta love those buzzbaits. I went and picked up some extras in chartreuse and white.
