I get a kick out of some of the names people name their boats, thought it might be fun to share ones you see this summer. Last year I saw a boat that describes all to many of my offshore trips; "Plan B".

Common carp 26
Goldfish 9.78lb
Mirror Koi 14lb
Koi 16lb
Channel Catfish 26lbs
Blue Cat 30lb
Bass 9.5lb

Paid For is my favorite name. My Grandfather's biggest boat was named the Hummingator. Half humminbird half alligator.

Clever: Fishin Magician
Funny: Wet Hooker

I've been thinking of a name for my boat but haven't come up with anything I like yet. Been teasing the wife that I am going to name the boat "Bang!" She doesn't like that idea! Good thing she knows I'm joking.

Mine is named "Miss-B-Haven" However, the Wife wanted to name her "The Mistress" which is a classic. My Dad's is named "Fishin' Machine". One of My best buds from college is name "SS Runaground". He finds every sand bar there is at the coast.

That guy and my grandpa must have gone to the same coastal navigation seminar, LOL... He got tired of it and bought a 28 ft Grady White with Twin 225 four strokes cause... "you can't run aground in bluewater"

Everyone,

My advice is to name your boat after your wife (girlfriend, fiance, significant other, etc.). A nice "play on words" is good, but you will get lots of mileage from naming the boat after her. It will help a lot when you "need" to spend $$ on the boat. The "Miss T" is named for my wife (Therese). She was really impressed because no-one had ever named a boat for her before. Seriously, in the long run it is much better than a clever or funny name.

Cheers,
