Itll never end. SOme people think they are the only ones that are entitled to use the ramp. I wish G'vine police would do like some others are and ticket people that do not park in the lines. It is not right. Typically on a busy day out there I would say there are at least 4 or 5 spaces that are NOT usable because of people taking up more than their space

Hard to tell, ar ethey fishing boats or lake lice boats

Nevermind, the one on the right looks like a ranger trail trailer.

Some people think they own the lake. That ramp is terrible. I had someone hit my bumper last month after I just had it fixed. I guess some people don't like others having nice [censored]! Please excuse my rant!!!! mad

The biggest problem I see is that most parking lots are undersized and have straight in parking instead of angle in. Probably because they were built before the days of crew cab trucks and 22 footers on tandem trailers. I have problems sometimes with my partner's rig. It's a crew cab dually and a tandem Rangertrail. Some parking lots just aren't wide enough to get into the spots without making 4 or 5 stabs at it.

Dove loop is worse, you hardly have any room to back your trailer out of your spot

Throw a jack in your truck, that way you can jack up the other trailers next to you and move them into their own lane to help you get in and out. I hate to see it come to that but when times get tough..

The worst parking lot I've seen is the one at the marina at Stillhouse. The best are at Choke Canyon.

Here is my favorite........

I started running tournaments out of "Katies Woods", and although a majority of the anglers fishing the BPS Grapevine Series launch from other ramps and run over to Katies to register, I am amazed by the number of people that show up around 10:00am livid and in a rage because they cannot find a place to park. I had a local guide threaten to go to the City of Grapevine to complain, and pleasure boaters scream at me because they could not find parking spaces close to the ramp. I do not condone someone who is inconsiderate and parks over the line making it impossible for another to park, put it is getting a little "testy" out there!

I was there last Saturday and the BPS tournament was going out of Katie's Woods. It was a pain trying to park. I was there at 6:15 so I'm not a 10:00er.

The harder thing to do is to park on the north side of the lot when there are just a few empty spaces staggered here and there. You basically have to get up there and try to wiggle in and out of spaces until you get yours in to a space. Not a problem. I did it without any major issues.

Maybe a little consideration of what is to follow would be in order: perhaps the tourney guys, if they are the ones there bright and early, or others who are there bright and early when the lot is empty, would take the places farthest away it would be better for everyone. Then the later guys could come in find it easier to get in and out and hopefully park not all jacked up.

Have I done this myself? No. Haven't thought of it until now. laugh But I will. It was actually a little easier to get the trailer for my partner. I just beached it near the north end of the lot and he walked up the hill. Closer walk than going to the dock. thumb

Just a thought.
