Bill caught em like that before the slot, during the slot, and will catch em like that after the slot is removed. Those fish have always been there, the upcoming tournaments will showcase that. Deep water structure fisherman are going to make all of us bankbeaters feel very inferior on this lake.

disagree, i give that lake 6 good months of having it beat to death by every mike Icconeli wannabe within 500 miles and party over. It wont destroy the lake, you just wont enjoy it like before.

Yup...fishing on Ray Bob is TERRIBLE. I think everyone should go to other lakes rather than waste theie time on Ray Bob.

We shall see how good it is once the tournies start going out there. Till then, it's just speculation.
Honey Hole was a good episode, Bill was kickin some tail! Just because he goes out there and catches em like that doesn't mean everyone else will.
It probably will turn out 30+ lb sacks for some, but you are still gonna have alot of people struggle, just like they do on any other lake.

I normally hit that spot on monday afternoons in dads crappie boat. 10 inch ringworms, you would never know I caught anything. IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR!

His bit on spray painting his marker buoys was pretty funny but effective.

ripnlip, I go to Ray Bob when I go fishing, not some of the times, but almost ALL of the time. The only reason fishing is bad for me there is because I am new to it, and still trying to figure things out. I am in no way saying bad things about the lake. The very last thing I want for that lake is for it to become a Fork, except maybe for the size and quanity of the fish. I always try and go during the weekdays to avoid the weekend crowds, they are already bad, and probably going to get worse. So please don't think I am slamming the lake, I spend 95 percent of my fishing time there and enjoy not having a thousand other boats to worry about. Just jerkin your chain man, but really stay far far away...lol. I dont think people are just gonna flood to the lake in groves because they heard it was a good lake that is removing the slot. Yeah there will be more tourneys and more pressure, but it will be the same as every other good lake like that is getting currently. The new will wear off, and fishing will be just as good as it was. In my opinion.
