Wheee, after 2 months me and my fishing buddy have finally gotten our project finished! It was a lot of fun and took a lot of work. The boat itself was sitting in a mans yard and he just wanted it gone. We drug it off put some new tires on the trailer and started to tear into it! The total cost was roughly $650 with the motor, 1958 Johnson 18HP Super Sea Horse with the conversion to a non-pressurized fuel tank. I have all the pics of the project on my Myspace page, here is the direct link to the Myspace photo album if you want to see all the pics. We took a lot of tips from this forum and really appreciate all the help!

Ultimately we were looking at buying a boat. But with my wife still in college and he is finishing up his degree we did not have the extra cash. This was really a fun and great way to get ready for the lake!

It's too clean. Go catch some fish in it and dirty it up some.

Lol, yah we took it out this weekend and dirtied it up a lil bit. I can not wait until we pull the first big cat into this thing and get the carpet slimy lol.

Most of it I found on misc forums all over the internet. It was much simpler than I first thought it would be. After a bit of research we discovered we could have done it and had it last another 50 years but we did not coat every piece of wood with resin and skirted on a few things that were just not truly necessary. We used 3/4 inch plywood for the floors, stuff you get from Lowes, the marine grade plywood was god awful expensive ($120+ a sheet)compared to 20 buck a sheet. We treated it and let it dry then carpeted it.

Very nice work. Now you just need some blood stains on the carpet.
