I got my boat lake worthy and went to Grapevine. I got on the water about 6:30 PM. I ended up with 10 keepers. The biggest was 15 1/2 inches. I had 2 throw backs. I was fishing off a point in about 18 foot that marked some brush/structure. I was happy.

I knew it, I need to set up a toll booth to my backyard pond.
Downplaying that pond the past few years has been for naught.

I've been crappie fishing Grapevine for 20 years. If you know where to go, it can be great fishing. Up in the upper end about 10 years ago you could limit out this time of years fishing the stumps. But most of those stick ups are gone now.
