These are the type of days that make you think you have fishing all figured out.

We hit the water at 5:30 caught a few shad and headed out.
First stop Yankee creek, marked a few fish but no takers.
Second stop by the dam, caught few sandies and 1 23" hybrid.
Third stop Red Barn, there was a boat show by the peanut and almost went there, glad I did not.
Fish started breaking the top and we caught 57 sandies and 16 hybrids, 4 hybrids were legal.
We keep a few sandies and hybrids and let the rest go.

Looks like the fish have finally started their summer time pattern, if you get a chance get out there.

Very nice! It has been GREAT on Hubbard lately. I didn't do so well last night though. Don't know what the problem was. I guess I am not as good as a caveman, as Varner put it.

hubbard is some good fishing but if your going to pull your boat from fort worth to here i would go ahead and keep going a few more miles and fish tawakoni, that is where the real big fish are.

I am going to be out there at hubbard this afternoon i am hopeing to get on them but we will see what happens.

the right place at the right time is the best way to find schoolong fish it just helps out when you know where they have beeen that past couple of weeks.

I was in the boat show this morning beside Tampc and he was killing the fish. Sounds like we left about the same time. It was greatness this morning.

we were the 1st boat on the fish just past barnes bridge park. was looking for them and as we went to leave to go round the corner to red barn and boom there they were! had a good day yesterday also but today was even better. even though there was a big boat show no one was crowded although saw a stripper boat
on plane go by a yellow tahoe that was the worst i saw and that was towards the end of the bite. thanks to varner and the others that posted a good catch on hubbard during the week!!!!!!

eeks How did you know it was a stripper boat? Was there a pole in the middle of it?

Nevertheless, congrats on being the first boat on the fish. You rock yawn

That was me that a$$ waked!! Totally ridiculous!! It was a CC Champion white with red trim!! I see that boat out there pretty regularly. If you read this just know that our paths will cross again! I could understand and be more forgiving if it was a newbie that pull that stunt!! This guy knows better!!

Wonder if I made the right choice by not going out this morning?!!! (of course I got home at 1:00 am from the airport.)
Oh wait it is silly season.
J/K Ruben, give me a call next week, supposed to be in town all week. Maybe we can go out when the idjuts ain't out.
