 Big Un I caught in a pond down the street from the house

 Caught him/her in a pond down the street from the house. I put it against my rod for refference b/c I didnt have a tape or scale. After getting back to the house I measured according to the picture and it was approx 21". I have been checking weight calculators online and they are all pretty consistant in this fish being around 5lbs. What do you guys think?

yep his girth was nice. Although his mouth/head seemed way too big for his body when his mouth was open. I could easily stick my whole fist in there with out a problem.

nice fish. I'd guess around 6 or 7 lbs at least!

Thanks Guys! It is a nice fish. Although it is pretty pale looking in color. Which was weird. Most of the bass I have caught are darker in color.

Nice bass... 5 lbs... I am not totally sure about this.. but I think it having a large head/mouth for its body size means it is an older bass...

around 4.5 or so please do not place the fish on the ground it takes the protective slime off
say no to nets, and catch and release

say no to nets, and catch and release Yeah I can only do so much one handed. You know. I usually dont worry with pics but this one was larger than my normal catch in that pond and I had no one else there for a pic. It was released shortly after with no problems. ; ) Off to fight another day

Gotta love that pond fishing....  Nice fish. I've got a new pond I fish that has lots of fish in that size range. Best of all is that they love top water plugs... 
You guys know everything..... I'm just an idiot....no problem........
