I finally know exactly what that means in the boat buying world.......from experience!!!!!! Bought a "used" boat about two months ago and have been replacing pumps and getting the engine tuned on the weekends when I come home. Went to change the title over only to find that there have been at least two other owners since the original owner that did not do the responsible thing(pay taxes and switch the title). So now, I have to send certified letters to the idiot that bought the boat from the original owner and the original owner before I can transfer the title. So now I have a boat that runs like a "bat out of hell" that I cannot use "legally" until all of this is taken care of. Gotta love doing the right thing!!!!!!
