I had braid on when I attempted to fish with a frog and thought the reason I was jerking the frog out of the fishes mouth so I went back to the basic trilene. Still was missing the hits. However, I did like the braid on a crank bait and jig on my dobyns rod. I could feel if a fish farted...lol... I guess my point is ; I cannot fish... SkeeterRonnie I need some lessons on how to catch big fish... smile

Braid is like everything else, a tool for certain situations. Learn it and be a better fisherman.

Braid is wonderful you can feel a lot more. 30lb spiderwire for me. Strickly for jigs and shakey head.

I have done best with Crystal Fireline for use on spinning rod, it eliminates line curling and back lashes. Could not stand the power pro and new spiderwire is extremelly hard to tie palomar knot.

You just have to find the right braid. I hated it until I started using 40 lb sonic braid. Give it a try.

Anyone that doesn't use braid is limiting their fishing capability. That doesn't mean you NEED to use it to be a good stick but there are alot of situations braid is your best tool.

I only have braid on one rod right now and thats my super heavy duty frog rod!!! It does its job, but I still find my self throwing 25 pound mono in those same situations that I use the braid rig for!

I sold just about all my braid about 2 years ago and have not bought any since! I havent regreted it one bit, and will probably not buy another spool ever again!

I use the power pro on half of my rods, I have been using it for years on the jig and pig rod and my frog pole so far I think it is the best braid out there

I use it on spinning rods. It is alot easier to deal with then mono. I also use it on my frog rod so I can horse them out of the vegetation.
