It was just one of those days that it wasn't meant to be I suppose. I have had pretty good luck the last few times I have been out, so I took one of my buddies out one morning. And I'll be darned if every single one of my spots failed to produce. I know we all have those days, but I just felt bad that I couldn't get my buddy on some fish.

That happens to me all the time on Conroe. Slay em one day and struggle big time the next two. Just need to hit it right on tourney day. Hasn't happened to me that way very often, but every now and then it makes it worth while.

My usual fishing bud went down there this morning without me (had to work, of course) and did well. Biggest was a five pounder but he only fished about three hours and had a limit quickly. I guess he did well without me because Fish fear me. Every time I show up at the lake, they disappear!

I had a Bass Blocker buddy like that and I quit taking him and my luck dramatically improved!

Fished 6/26 till 3pm. 15 total w/largest about 6lbs. The bite was really soft on plastics and moving baits. Fished along the grass lines in 3 Fingers and then moved up the San Miguel Creek about 1pm. Caught smaller fish flipping the timbers and some along the hyacinith? Brutually hot day.

I just got home from choke . Not a bad day we had 15 fish the best 5 were around 20# .Started early shollow with a 10" worm t-rig. and as the sun and wind picked up we moved deeper was real hard to feel the bite on a t-rig or c-rig it was a very lite bite. the deepest fish was in 33'off a main lake point.

We had a decent day today as well. Numbers werent great, but caught a few bigger fish, 6-8 and 8-4, most fish on jigs in 3-5 feet. Best 5 for us were right at 26#. Will try to post a full report with pics of the bigger fish later....we also had some interesting luck with the catfish
