I soured some birdseed and corn and have been soaking it for 2 days. its about 100-105 degress and ive put some sugar and yeast in with it. its starting to smell already. do you think the bait would be ready by friday under these conditions? ive heard 2 to 3 weeks under normal conditions but i would consider this normal conditions.

Yep, It will work just fine! I have never added anything other than water and it is stinking pretty good in 3-4 days.

I have some that's 2 years old and it's still working great! I guess I need to do more fishing!! I agree with everyone else it should work, but it will get better as it ages. I personally prefer henscratch, but any grain should work.
Good luck!

If you can part with one beer (must be a warm beer), add it to your grain then add you water and let it go. It'll sour twice as fast as just using water. I learned this a few years back when I started souring corn for hogs.
