Hey Sammy---Pool has lots of little bass, plus a fair amount of real "pigs" too. In a tournament, five keepers will generally put you in the money, if not win it sometimes. Look for the more typical crappie holes--brushpiles, pilings, etc. for the little ones.

Most of you big fish this time of year will be deep. Find the bait on structure (humps, roads, dams, deep brush, etc) and then fish a little deeper. The sandies own that zone right by the bait at most Joe Pool spots. I've found the LM hang a little deeper to dine on the scraps--and the sandies!

Good luck

Wayne

I have been on Joe Pool a couple of times a week lately. Last week I caught 3 between 6.5 and 7.5 lbs. They were all in 15 to 20 feet of water. I would like to fish in one of the tournaments, but I need a partner. PM me and maybe we can get together.

I do have pics of the fish.

Was on JP last Sun. Early am try cranking, a guy fishing the next point over from us stuck a 10, in a foot of water on a crank. We were'nt that lucky. After the sun came out, we went to splitshoting a green pumpkin fluke and did pretty well. Joe Pool holds some Toads, we've got two over 10 out of there.
