The only time I fish for catfish is from the bank, I have my son-in-law in town tomorrow and I said we can go out on the Lake, he replied "Would love to catch some Catfish". Can anyone please give me some ideas of where to fish on Lake Lewisville for Catfish and what bait to use.
I will appreciate any help.

First off , try baiting the hole. Maybe go by tonight or get there early tomorrow to get them in the area.

I am wondering what area's of the Lake, is there any good areas on Lake Lewisville. I don't want any ones secret holes but just one might be nice. He is only in for a day so would like to catch a few if possible. What would you bait the "HOLE" with.

try any banks that the wind is blowing into it. Fish shallow and use some punchbait ir stink bait. Ealry and later in the day is always better. Fish in flooded grass and weeds. If you dont have anywhere to go you can always try Doe Branch. It is a free boat ramp on the north side of the lake that has some places to bank fish. Anywhere shallow right now with wind hitting it will produce some fish most likely. Goodluck!

catfish are hitting on little elm side, but sence your comming from double oak its a far drive and not enought time so ill try as close as you can get to the damn as possible or even better yet go try goat mans bridge.. ( old alton) in copper caynon. use shrimp (its awsome) chicken livers, stink bait, and dip bait. i kinda retired lewisville lake now due to no more boat but i go grapevine now and hit them all day and night! should go check that out! but old alton bridge is great for cats! good one too good luck. oh haha we both live in double oak! lol

I agree with Gfish he's got the right idea. You should also bait a hole also if you can might be a little to late to sour up some chum but you could use range cubes, or canned dog food with some holes cut in them thrown out in an area or some bagged chum bought from walmart or academy sports called dinner bell chum by magic bait bait it out the night before you go fishing if you can just dont over due it

just my 2 cents, get some dk, it is smelly and messey at times but you will cat fish with it... If you are fishing on rocks use a bobber with about 2 feet of line... If you dont catch anything in about 20 min move down a few feet. Keep moving till you find them...

northwest end where denton creek comes in.
Started out with nothing and still have most of it left.
