I was wondering how much success you have had using range cubes as a chum for channel cats. I was also wondering where I could buy some.
Thanks

They work great, but take a little longer.
You can get them at any feed store, including tractor supply. Be sure and get the 20% range cubes.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way you are a mile away, AND you have their shoes.

I don't live near any feed stores, so I guess I can't get any.

Travis, I guess you do not live in Texas, if you do not live near a feed store...that means there are no cattle or horses near where you live...WOW
I am at a loss here. Do you have a grocery store that might have bird seed you could sour in a bucket...or dog feed (which might tend to float unless it is canned food). Open the can and toss the canned food in the water, it will sink.
Indians used dead carcasses to attract fish. I put out a deer carcass this year and sat there and caught 86 catfish from that one spot, so it works. What I mean here is, look for raod kill, tie on a rock and let er go.

I live in a suburb, so know there aren't any horses around me. Thanks for the alternative chums though.

I live 15 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and there's a feed store less than 5 minutes from my house. Tell us where you are and we'll find a feed store for you.
I'm not an actor, but I play one on TV.

Granted, none of these are actually in The Woodlands, but they should all be within about 15 minutes of you. http://woodsfeedandsupply.com/default.aspx Conroe Jerry's Feed & Hardware Write a review 13814 FM 1314 Rd Conroe, TX (936) 231-2702‎ Hieden Feed & Supply 14403 Stuebner Airline Rd Houston, TX 77069-3001 (281) 444-1010‎

I've been using range cubes this year and have had good limmits. Pick 2 or 3 spots put a few hand fulls at each spot then go back and fish the 1st spot give them about 20 to 30 min and you'll have fish.

Travis
Go down Woodlands Parkway until it dead ends into FM 2978. Take a left on 2978 and go down about 2-3 miles, just past the second the light. The first light will be Hardin Store Rd and the second light is Carroway Lane. As soon as you go through the second light, on your left is Circle S Hardware & Feed. They have range cubes for like $4 a bag. They also sell minnows and other bait. If for some reason they are out there is another feed store just a couple miles further down 2978 on the right. Hope this helps.
