 help with motor set up? water coming in over transom @ high speed! Help!

I have an 87 bass tracker V-16 v hull with a 35 mercury.
When I get above about 1/2 throttle, water starts shooting up the neck of the motor and coming in over the transom like a faucet! I have adjusted the manual trim to all different settings and cant seem to open it up without water pouring in.
Has anyone got any suggestions? At this point, I about ready to sandbag the front of the boat. I am unable to raise the hieght of the motor due to limited hieght of the transom mounts.

Transducer and speedometer pick up is your likely culprits.

Try raising the transducer until it is flush with the bottom of the boat. My friends large center console was doing the same thing. His was probably an inch below the pad.

My Center Console has a rooster tail that comes up right next to the motor which is my transducer... Kinda weird to look back and gets some interesting comments but at least its not dumping into the hull...

Why do you shove your transducers down so low? Mine is not low at all, it is flush with the bottom of the hull. I mounted it where humminbir's instructions said to mount it for the Side Imaging... Next month when I get my HDS-10 I will look at mounting the transducer differently, but I suspect that when I buy their Side Imaging Transducer I will be going right back to the same spot.
