was several of these little guys  and all within in about five minutes, everytime my fly hit the water it got bit. once I casted it to get it out of my way put a fish back went to false cast, another fish on the line. I know they are small but a fish is a fish in my opinion

My buddy that has a camper on Fork baits a line in the quest to catch large flatheads. He uses the largest bluegills he can find for bait. Last week he caught a 54-pounder and has caught no-tellin'-how-many in the 20 to 35lb range.

green sunfish top my list - tough, scrappy, and lively. Caught many a flathead from 3lbs all the way up to over 50 on sunfish exactly the size you have in your hand there wylie. Course, the 10" sunfish tend to catch bigger cats, haha. And you can always fillet the sunfish if you don't feel like running lines that night. That's how I learned to flyfish, catching bait. Good times.
