Gravel pits are main lake, mid-lake humps that come up to between 20-25 feet and are surrounded by trees and deeper water from 33-45 feet. The area is roughly along the line from the cut to the Colony and the Twin Poles (I think there is only one pole now though?) on the North Shore of the main lake. If you don't anchor you need to make short drifts and reposition before you get hung up in the trees. Trolling motor will allow you to stay over the humps in 20-26 feet where fish are generally feeding.
