For the spinning gear.....
Try in-line Mepps Aglia (Red/white, silver, or gold blade) spinners size 2 and up -and- T-rigged (1/8 bullet weight) with white Zoom grubs on a red 1/0 or 2/0 Gamakatzu EWG hook.
These have never failed me in any situation (on spinning gear) where bass are present.
Bass will hit the bait hard -- it feels like a hard strike vs. the panfish nibble and jerk. On the other hand... bass (the bigger ones)tend to scoop up your bait in their mouths and stop. It feels like you're snagged (a hesitation feel) but you need to jerk your rod up to set the hook. Then at that point your line should start to move around wildly.

WELL do what I do " I set the hook at anything that taps the line " I catch more fish that way..Even if your not sure just set the hook anyway. More times then none there well be a fish at the end of your line.....

with the weather like it is. The bass are going to stick to shade and cover like glue. work soft plastics slow and on top of them when the sun is up.
Most of the time, it works every time.

Fishing is Fishing not Catchin

alot of times a bass worm bite will just be a tap-tap then you will see your line swim off ,when you set the hool dont be afraid to yank it thru his head because they have a a tough mouth .plus the hook has to go thru the worm too . on the other hand sometimes they will try to take your rod out of your hand . just be ready to set the hook hard that all i can add. spring time is better time to learn worm fishing than summer time because you seem to get more hits . once you learn what to expect you wont just set the hook on anything
P.B. Carp ....29 lbs .... P.B. Buffalo 34.4
