Went back for another round to try to land my Dottie. Didn't get her but I took a lot of the advice I was getting and tried letting the frog stay down much longer before setting the hook. It ended up working great! There was an initial hit, I let her take it, then she really took it down a second time. It's so hard to hold off on the hook-set but I definitely see what everyone is talking about. Thanks for the great advice. Here's a video of the catch.

No idea. All fish are differiant, but the acrobats that thing was doing I'd guess it was six or less. The 7 plus, at least in my expierence, usualy aren't so crazy in the air.

But I've never seen fish boated that I could look at slow mo camera either.

That is classic. Everyone on here knows that feeling. But, I don't know anyone who has their "one that got away" on video!

"No. Noooooo."

That's exactly how I react when I lose a fish. It seems like those are the only words that'll come out of my mouth.

Great looking pond. I got a feeling you'll be spending a lot of time there over the next few months looking for revenge.

I'd like to know what camera that is, too. -- EDIT: Nevermind, just watched your other vid and saw your link to www.hatcams.com. Which model do you have?

6-7. Great fish.

But really, start throwin your frogs on braid. You won't lose nearly as many fish after you make the switch to braid. 50-65# test. You might even go to 80# on some lakes.

I love the few seconds where you are standing there looking at the water, like; "I know it's here somewhere". Keep plugging away partner.

Great video. Shame you lost her. I think I would have been a little be more verbal and maybe throw the rod. Way to keep your cool. Keep them coming.

That was an awesome video!!! I am thinking around 7.5 lbs but who knows.

I have to admit....I chuckled at the aftermath...would have been my reaction exactly!!!

That fish will keep you coming back to that place for a while!

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.
