I was wanting to purchase a good baitcaster reel for around $100-$120 any suggestions? I've been looking at the Quantum Kevin Van Dam Signature series, looks to be a solid reel.

Spend 50 more and get a Revo SX. I've bought $100 reels before and they all suck. Spending the extra 50 60 bucks is worth it in my opinion.
I have a Largemouth at home....sometimes she lets me go fishing.

+1 Or Shimano Citica, although they are both a little over $100 unless you do your homework.

I have had good luck with the BPS Extreme reels. Sometime you can get a combo on sale for around $100.

Yea I have a Bass Pro Shops reel that was about $80 for the combo and like it just doesn't seem to cast like it should.

Revo S or spend the extra 50 and get the SX. I have yet to find "quality" for under 125.

My H2O Marauds have been excellent so far and my BPS Extremes as well. There are still some old style Quantum Accurist PT's around at Academy for about $70, which is about half the old price.
