Started fishing a few weeks ago and caught my first bass!
Got him on a rooster tail. He is headed for the pan.



Thanks to the forum for a easy and quick way to learn through posts.

well hell, I dont know. HAHA...I just thought the mouth looked like a bass and thought it was. Thay still kinda all look like fish to me.

uh, you better learn what you are catching because if you have the wrong size fish in possession it could get costly. Congrats on the first crappie though

No problem on not being familiar with the different species of fish. Most newbies are just glad to be catching fish at all! Check out the following link to the Texas Parks and Wildlife website... it will give you a good intro to the freshwater species that our Texas waters offer.

Rooster tail?? That bait does not catch fish at the Vine....LOL! I have every color made I think and have caught some really nice Crappie on them this year. If you want to catch your first bass then let me know and I can probably put in you in the right place but you have to come to Grapevine....let me know!
