I talked my wife into heading to Texoma for a few days on our anniversary next month. I would like to stay in a cabin that is close to good fishing grounds and has dock access to keep my boat secure during our stay. I had the pleasure of fishing with one of Mr. Lyle's guides last year so I have some idea where to fish--just not where to stay. Any help would be appreciated--thinking about doing a scouting trip next week to check out some cabins for the wife's approval. She's a little picky about where she sleeps and bathes! It doesn't have to be perfect just clean. Thanks in advance.

When are you going to be up here ? There are some new cabins being built/furnished as we speak in the mill creek area. Word is tho that they probably wont be ready till at least mid to late July...More word on them as they progress. also hear that the new owener is one heck of a guy

Does anyone know if Tanglewood has a courtesy dock for their guests? Didn't see anything on their website.

My friends that stayed at Tanglewood used Highport Marina and rented a slip at Highport to leave the boat in the water. Note: that was not cheap.

Alberta Creek on the OK side is great.

Flowing Wells looks nice...haven't stayed there yet. We have 4 cabins reserved in July.
I do know Alberta Creek is good.

Highport rental slips are uncovered slips for $35 a day. They do have security gates on them and you have to pay a deposit for the key, $75. Tanglewood does not have any slips that I know of. Would be nice if they did I like staying there.

Jason.. your Welcome You can use the courtesy slips if you get a cabin there. Thats where our lake home is and yes it's very nice. They have the sundeck cottage which is cool. www.flowingwellsresort.com
